Located at 1 minute walk from our hotels, this new high place for the French perfumery is to be visited.
Since the 18th century, Versailles has been an emblematic place in the history of perfume in France, bringing together the world's greatest noses. The Cour des Senteurs aims to bring together the rarest fragrances, traditions, know-how and raw materials that make up the world of perfume. With its original concept conceived as an olfactory walk, you will first discover the Maison des Parfums, a place of interpretation on perfume designed by the architect Philippe Pumain. Then the Garden of Scents, designed by landscape architect Nicolas Gilsoul, opens up to you, with its curiosity cabinets to learn about the language and materials used by perfumers, its botanical collections, and a bush walk bringing together a hundred or so plant species with daring fragrances and rare natural essences from all over the world. The Place des Senteurs in the middle of the courtyard brings together great names such as Guerlain, Lenôtre, Diptyque and La Maison Fabre. Also imagined as an original urban crossing, the Cour des Senteurs allows direct access to the Salle du Jeu de Paume and the Potager du Roi. Come and discover for free this high place of French perfumery just a step away from our hotels, an original idea for a visit during your stay or seminar in Versailles.
